Description

The Universal 3D Tester is a highly precise and versatile measuring instrument designed for milling and EDM machines (insulated probe). It is clamped into a tool holder and inserted into a milling spindle. Once clamped, the run-out (T.I.R) can be fully adjusted to zero, enabling exact positioning of the spindle axis on the edges of the workpiece. This allows for quick and easy zero-setting and length measurement.

The 3D Tester can approach from any direction (X-, Y-, Z-axis). When the dial gauge shows zero, the spindle axis is perfectly aligned with the workpiece edge. Unlike other tools, the HAIMER 3D Tester finds edges on the first attempt without requiring calculations for the probe’s ball diameter—simply zero it out! This reduces operator errors while improving productivity and accuracy.

Short and long probes are available, and probes can be changed without tools or re-calibration. Simply bring the needle to zero to locate edges with any probe. The tester’s precision allows part inspection directly on the machine. It features a large overrun distance and preset probe breaking points for durability. Each unit is individually tested during assembly to ensure maximum accuracy.
