Hand taps are intended to be used by hand, with a T-handle tap wrench or a tap holder.
They are not suitable for machine tapping as the flutes are not designed to clear the chips as quickly as in a spiral flute or gun nose tap.
It is recommended to use TAPMASTER Tapping Paste when tapping a hole by hand as it will greatly increase the life of your tap, as well as make the tapping process easier and more efficient.
